Twisted Horrors: Whispers of Hushwick

Hushwick was not destroyed. It listened. A song moved through the streets one night, and most of the city followed it into silence. Those who remained remember pieces: a bell tolling without hands, children walking at dusk, doors opening to music, names vanishing from stone, and sleepers who are not dead.

Future live games

Hushwick is the first doorway, not the only one.

Future Tavern & Board pop-ups can explore different stories, mechanics, tones, and guest roles while staying connected to the larger world. Some may lean into investigation, some into social deduction, some into adventure-party play, and some into entirely new formats.

Format

Live Story Experience

Part mystery, part social deduction, part immersive adventure. It is not an escape room and not a haunted house maze.

Tone

Low Fear, Not Safe

Quiet, ruined, musical, bell-haunted, and watchful. The danger is dormant, but the city remembers.

Runtime

75-120 Minutes

Designed in scalable versions, from an MVP test session to a fuller paid pop-up event.

Guests

15-40+ Per Session

Flexible capacity based on venue size, set build, staffing, and the version being staged.

How guests play

You are not trying to unlock an exit. You are trying to understand a city.

Enter the Tavern

Guests check in, receive a role envelope, a rumor or secret, a starting token, and safety/game rules.

Cross the Silent Gate

The warm threshold gives way to Hushwick: a ruined city of ledgers, lanterns, old debt, and missing names.

Follow the Bell

Bell tolls change the city. Clues appear, stories shift, music moves, and guests must notice what changed.

Trade and Accuse

Guests question NPCs, compare evidence, use tokens, bargain, vote, and decide who or what to trust.

Face the Music

The Piper's song may lead to a clue, a memory, a trap, a hidden place, or a false answer.

Choose an Ending

The finale is a moral choice: wake the sleepers, keep the city quiet, pay the debt, break the bell, or let the music finish.

The city build

A modular ruined town for repeatable play.

The pop-up is designed around a tavern threshold, a silent gate, a central town square, and themed city zones that can scale with the venue.
